Starts marketing two new GPS-based protection plans
GuidePoint Systems, a supplier of GPS-based products and services for systems sold through car dealerships and specialty retailers, has launched two new GPS-based products.
The Pontiac, Michigan-based supplier said that it has started a new loaner car protection plan to help protect vehicles loaned out by dealerships. It has also begun selling a new lot protection plan, that allows dealers to protect and monitor vehicle inventory.
Both the plans utilize Guidepoint's technology and services, including 24/7/365 call center support and a web-interface for tracking and controlling vehicles, said GuidePoint.
Rand Mueller, CEO of Guidepoint, said: "With the challenging economic climate, it's more important than ever before for dealerships to reduce their losses and seek out new profit opportunities."
"These new services can help dealers cut losses from theft and vehicle misuse, but can also give them a unique and sought-after selling opportunity after the vehicle is sold," he added.
